PATS PEAK SKI CLUB COACHING STAFF 2006-2007
Deb Flanders – PPSC Program Director/Head JIII coach
Deb has coached throughout the
country for the past 34 years, beginning her coaching career at Pats Peak in the
early 70’s after retiring from the U.S. Ski Team. She raced professionally for
8 years and is a certified USSCA International level coach. This will be Debs
fourth season as Program Director.
Jon Routon – PPSC Head Coach/ JIII coach
Jon is a Pats Peak Ski Team
alumna and has been coaching with PPSC for the past six years. A graduate of
UNH, Jon will work with JIII’s as well as acting as head coach for the PPSC
staff as well as overseeing all the technical aspects of PPSC host races.
Zach Fronton– JI and JII coach
Zach is a Pats Peak and Burke
Mountain Academy alumni who will be back for his third year as a PPSC coach. .
Zach raced in the J3 and J2 Junior Olympics, as well as in Eastern FIS before
injury forced early retirement.
James Tautkus
J1/2 Coach
James is a Pats Peak Alumni new to coaching this year.
James skied for Proctor Academy and Waterville and is currently a student at
UNH.
Bob Cummings J1/2 Coach
Bob raced through college at WPI as a player coach. Bob is
a certified PSIA Level II instructor, and has been a volunteer assistant to the
Bow High School coaching staff for the past six years.
David Hughes – Head BWL and J4 coach
Returning for his fourth year with PPSC, Dave raced as a
junior at Okemo Mt, and for Woodstock Vt. HS. He has coached at Whaleback and
for the Mt. Hood Race Team in Oregon. He is father of three PPSC racing
boys, Jake, Connor and Patrick.
Mike Hitchcock: J4 coach (Saturdays)
This will be Mike’s first year coaching at the Peak. He is
the father of three PPST racing daughters.
Jim Whalley
(Sundays)
Jim will be helping out the JIV
crew for his Third Year coaching. He has two racing boys, Connor and Logan.
Jeff Moore: J4 Coach
Jeff is a past Pats Peak Ski Team member who will be trading his race skis for
coaching skis this year. He has 2 siblings on the team: Brad and Emma.
Jay Stewart
– Head JV coach
Jay was a talented
junior racer who continues to compete in the Corporate Race Circuit here at the
Peak. He is the father of two PPSC racing kids, Sam and Gabi D.
John Cooke – JV coach
This will be
John’s third year coaching with PPSC. He is the father of two racing boys,
Evan and Trevor.
Mark Cormier – JV/JVI coach
This will be Mark’s third year with PPSC’s young
racers. Mark is a top competitor in the Corporate Races also. He is father of
two PPSC racing kids, Chris and Rebecca.
Justin Neely- J6 Coach
This will be Justin’s first year with the team. Justin has
two years of coaching experience from Shawanee Mountain, Pennsylvania and he
taught skiing at the Peak last year.
Courtney Routon
–JVI coach (Saturdays)
Courtney is another PPSC alumni
racer. This will be her second season with the JVI’s.

Bobby is returning to coach for
his second year at Pats Peak. He is the father of two PPSC racing daughters,
