PATS PEAK SKI CLUB COACHING STAFF 2009-2010
Deb Flanders – PPSC Program Director/Head JIII coach
Deb has coached throughout the
country for the past 34 years, beginning her coaching career at Pats Peak in the
early 70’s after retiring from the U.S. Ski Team. She raced professionally for
8 years and is a certified USSCA International level coach. This will be
Debs Seventh season as Program Director.
Jon Routon – PPSC Assistant Program Director/ Head JIV coach
Jon is a Pats Peak Ski Team
alumna and has been coaching with PPSC for the past nine years. A graduate of
UNH, Jon will work with JIV’s as well as acting as well as overseeing all the technical aspects of PPSC hosted races.
Zach Fronton– JI and JII coach
Zach is a Pats Peak and Burke
Mountain Academy alumni who will be back for his Fifth year as a PPSC coach. .
Zach raced in the J3 and J2 Junior Olympics, as well as in Eastern FIS before
injury forced early retirement.
Pepper Legro –
JI/II coach
Pepper grew up racing for Crotched Mountain and later for the New England
College Ski Team. Pepper has eight years coaching experience and lives with
her husband in Henniker, where she is an artist and carpenter.
This will be Pepper's second year with PPST
Bob Cummings JI/II Coach
Bob raced through college at WPI as a player coach. Bob is
a certified PSIA Level II instructor, and is currently
serving as the the assistant coach for Bow High School Alpine Team.
Hannah Cametti - J1/2 Coach.
Hannah is a Pats Peak Alumna and Burke Mountain Academy
graduate now a sophomore at UNH. Hannah raced in the US National Championships
in '06 and '07 and in the J2 National Olympics in '04 and '05. Hannah is a 55
point slalom and GS skier.
David Hughes – JIII coach
Returning for his sixth year with PPSC, Dave raced as a
junior at Okemo Mt, and for Woodstock Vt. HS. He has coached at Whaleback and
for the Mt. Hood Race Team in Oregon. He is father of three PPSC racing
boys, Jake, Connor and Patrick.
Ryan Sullivan - J3 Coach.
Ryan grew up skiing at Okemo, went to the Stratton
Mountain School and is currently a freshman at UNH. He was the 2008 Vermont
Cup Champion and competed in the J3 Olympics, Eastern Cups and Canadian FIS
races. Ryan was a 60 point slalom skier in '08.
John Cooke – JIII coach
This will be
John’s fifth year coaching with PPSC. He is the father of two racing boys,
Evan and Trevor.
Jay Stewart
– JIV coach
Jay was a talented
junior racer who continues to compete in the Corporate Race Circuit here at the
Peak. He is the father of two PPSC racing kids, Sam and Gabi D.
Justin Neely- JIV Coach
This will be Justin’s third year with the team. Justin has
two years of coaching experience from Shawanee Mountain, Pennsylvania and he
taught skiing at the Peak.
Bob
Berliner - Head JV Coach
Head J5 coach and Head Buddy
Werner League Coach, back for his second year since his previous retirement from
PPST.
Gene Darin – JV
Coach
This is Gene’s first year coaching
with the Peak. Gene races in the Corporate Race Series and is the father of
ski racing daughter Maggie.
Caitlin
Cochran-Siegle - J5 Coach.
A freshman this year at UNH, Cait is a past member of the
VARA ski team. She has coached at Cochran Hill, is the daughter of Olympic gold
medalist Barbara Ann Cochran, has raced FIS and currently holds GS points in the
60's.
John Hughes – JVI Coach
This will be John’s
second year
coaching with the Peak. John is a former NCAA racer and currently races in the
Corporate Race Series. He has two racing JV’s, Morgan and Nick.
Caitlin
Patenaude – JVI Coach
Caitlin is a sophomore nursing student at St. Anselm’s College and is also a ski
instructor at the Peak. This will be Caitlin's second year
with PPST

Jim
Whalley – Jim will be assisting the JIV coaches this season and is the father of
two PPST racers, Connor and Logan.
Mark Cormier
This will be Mark’s fourth year with PPSC’s young
racers. Mark is a top competitor in the Corporate Races also. He is father of
two PPSC racing kids, Chris and Rebecca.
Brian
Gillman
Long time Pats
Peak ski coach at the J4, J3 levels and former NEC competitor.
Bobby Berge
Bobby is returning to coach for
his second year at Pats Peak. He is the father of two PPSC racing daughters,
Christina and Brianna.
